SAFE Program

Safe Afterschool Fieldhouse Experience

Concept

A place where children can play and learn in a supervised and structured environment.
Days

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday during the school year when school is in session.

Non school day and summer camps
Parent Nites and Lighted School House opportunities

Afterschool Activities

The Safe program format includes a structured schedule.  Each day will include academic time where all participants will be involved in completion of homework or another academic focused activity.  Special events, movies and community service projects will be integrated into the program. 

Person in Charge
Adult recreation and school district staff in conjunction with college and high school mentors.
Program

Students will be monitored, and structured activities will be provided. Students who do not adhere to behavior expectations may be dismissed from the program.  The SAFE Program offers parents an after school program with supervision and structured activities. Included with registration fee is a daily nutritional snack.  Students are monitored and structured activities are offered. Activities include directed play, study time, fun and fitness and a variety of enrichment activities. Students in this program will not be able to leave until checked out by a parent or guardian.

Field trips, Saturday athletics, Summer Programming, Family Nites, and special programs are announced on separate flyers throughout the year and are distributed to the entire student body at school. SAFE program sign-up sheets are also distributed to students at school.
