COVID-19 Mitigation Plan

Program & Operation Mitigation Plan 

FALL 2020 The following document details the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Department’s  plans for operating fall programming based on the guidelines recommended by the West Allis Health Department, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Committee. This plan is intended to serve as a guide and will be used to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 through best practices to safely offer programs that enhance the mental, social, and physical well being of our residents. Local public health guidance has been considered in all decision making.

All program participants and staff will be required to wear a mask/covering as is directed through the governor’s Emergency Order #1, relating to preventing the spread of COVID-19 by requiring face coverings in certain situations.   State of Wisconsin, Office of the Governor, Emergency Order #1 

The following programs will begin in September in accordance with the City of West Allis Health Department Safe Opening Capacity Guidance - Phase C.  Program plans continue to practice social distancing with an increase in cleaning, disinfecting and hygiene practices.  Program capacity will be set at 50% or a maximum of 50 people (where applicable) while maintaining physical distancing and protective measures.
