2020-2021 School Year Child Care

Action

The WAWM RCS Department will be providing child care options for each phase of the 2020-2021 school year.

PHASE 4 & PHASE 5 - RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING
CHILD CARE OPTIONS FOR 4K-5TH GRADE

On Monday, March 8th, the WAWM Board of Education approved the Return to School Plan advancing to Phase 4 and Phase 5. The WAWM RCS Department will have AM Action and Action 330 at all eleven elementary schools on all days that school is in session.

Registration will open Monday, March 15th at 8am. Deadline to register is Thursday, March 18th at 5pm to start March 22nd or until maximum enrollment is reached. Beginning March 19th, there will be a one day processing period from the date you register until the date your child can begin attending the program.

Due to limited space, mitigation strategies and staffing availability, registration is on a first come first serve basis. Students that secure a spot in the March/April session will have priority in enrolling for the May/June session. Information about May/June session (fees, deadlines to register, etc) will be directly emailed to those that have a spot. If the maximum is reached at your school, we encourage you to enroll on the waitlist, and if a spot becomes available, we will contact you.

AM ACTION:
AM Action is a program that is centered around 3 main ideas: Fitness, Literacy and Fun. Our goal every morning is to provide each student with an experience that incorporates those 3 ideas into one program. AM Action will focus on keeping your child active through fun, physical activities along with the educational value of taking time each morning to improve literacy. Breakfast times and procedures may vary depending on the school. Please contact your child’s school for breakfast details. Hours: 7am-8:30am
Monthly Fees & Deadlines:  March/April: $34.50 - Deadline to register to start March 22nd is Thursday, March 18th by 5pm or until enrollment maximum is reached, whichever comes first.
May/June: Cost and deadline will be directly communicated to the families that receive a spot in March/April.

ACTION 330: The goal of Action 330 is to help children to learn and grow daily through structured play and activities in a fun, inclusive, caring and safe environment. We aim to accomplish this goal by offering a wide range of activities, games, social interaction and academics daily to all participants. Every day is an opportunity for children to learn and grow and Action 330 is there to assist in that process. Students will be placed into groups by grade/age and will stay with that group each afternoon though rotations. Daily snack will be provided.
Hours: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Monthly Fees & Deadlines: March/April: $46 - Deadline to register to start March 22nd is Thursday, March 18th by 5pm or until enrollment maximum is reached, whichever comes first.
May/June: Cost and deadline will be directly communicated to the families that receive a spot in March/April.

Why Are We Using CampDoc?
It is always the effort of the WAWM RCS Department to improve the quality of our programming we provide to our families. This school year we have made the decision to work with a company called CampDoc. CampDoc is the leading electronic health record system for camps, designed by camp doctors, nurses, and directors. Their secure, easy-to-use web-based solution helps programs manage health forms, medication/allergies and health logging.
