Before and After School Action Programs

Action

AM Action (Elementary Before School Program)

Back by popular demand! Our Before School Programs will be offered at all eleven elementary schools. AM Action runs Monday-Friday when school is in session. A Parent/Guardian must enter the school with the participant and sign that participant into the program. A participant may not sign themselves into this program. Sign in begins at 7am, no earlier. During the time your child is in the AM Program, they will be able to participate in structured games, crafts and other fun engaging activities. All participants will join in supervised play until school begins (weather pending). All AM Action participants will have access to the regular school breakfast program that is served daily before school. Those times and locations may vary depending on which school your child attends. Please contact the school for information about breakfast serving time and locations.

AM Action Fees
FeesThe program fee for the year is $200.
Payment Option 1You may pay for the year in full at the time of registration. This would secure your child's spot in the program for the year.
Payment Option 2You may elect to make quarterly payments. 4 payments throughout the school year to cover the program fee of $200. This option provides you the flexibility to enroll for a quarter at a time, however, it does not guarantee a spot in the program for future quarters. Each payment will be $50 per child enrolled in the program.

  • First quarter payment: 1st payment due: August 28th (to attend first day of school)
  • Second quarter payment: 2nd payment due: November 5th
  • Third quarter payment: 3rd payment due: January 22nd
  • Fourth quarter payment: 4th payment due: March 27th

*Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in your child being unenrolled from the program. Late payments (after the listed payment due dates) will result in a one day waiting period for your child to attend the program again. Once a quarter begins, no refunds will be given. Payment for future quarters may be done at any time.

Afterschool Action 300 (Intermediate Afterschool Program)

The WAWM RCS Department offers Afterschool Programs at all three intermediate schools in the district. Action 300 runs Monday-Friday when school is in session. These programs begin at 3pm and remain in session until 5:30pm. Action 300 is a recreation-based program that aims to build independence, time management and social interaction skills all while providing a safe environment for the participants to have fun in. These skills are crucial as High School years are inching ever so close for these participants. Each participant will receive a daily nutritional snack upon reporting to the program. As part of building on skills for these participants the responsibility to check into the program is on the student. Participants must check in within 10 minutes of the end of the school day unless they have a note from a teacher. Participants that attempt to check in after 10 minutes without a note will not be admitted into the program at that point. Participants may leave when an authorized adult signs them out or with parental permission participants may sign themselves out of the program.
