Juan Delapaz

What are you most excited about in this role?
Working in a new fitness center, meeting a whole new group of people, and starting the new year with a fresh start. I am excited to see who I get to meet and what we can build together.
What do you want people to know about you?
I have been doing personal training for about five years. I served in the Navy for four years and earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. I am relaxed by nature but know when to turn it up to keep people motivated. I enjoy helping people reach their goals and I am always up for a challenge.
Why did you want to work at the WAWM RCS Department?
I wanted to work here because it seems like a fun and welcoming place, and I am excited to connect with people in the community. Being in the heart of West Allis matters to me, and I want to help make my community stronger both physically and mentally.
Fun fact about you?
I have a lot of hobbies and like to stay busy. I play disc golf, Magic the Gathering, bowl, work out, dance, and play beach volleyball. I enjoy anything competitive or game related.
Personal Training Style/Philosophy:
I believe training should be individualized. Everyone moves, recovers, and shows up differently, so programs should reflect that. I prioritize sustainable progress over quick fixes—consistency, good habits, and showing up matter more than extremes that don’t last. Movement quality comes first because it builds confidence, reduces injury risk, and creates a strong foundation. Hard work and accountability are expected, including homework outside of sessions, because what you do between workouts is just as important as what we do together.
