High School Play
The Crucible
Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Crucible is a powerful and haunting portrayal of hysteria, fear, and the consequences of mass paranoia. Set during the Salem witch trials of the late 1600s, the play follows a Puritan community torn apart by accusations, secrets, and suspicion.
As fear spreads and reputations are sacrificed, one man—John Proctor—must decide whether to save his name or his life. Originally written as an allegory for McCarthyism, The Crucible remains a timeless and urgent exploration of integrity, justice, and the cost of silence.
