Some MORE Exciting News for Operation Recreation!
The WAWM RCS Department under Program Manager, Amanda Schwichtenberg's leadership, is the proud winner of the 2020 Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association Silver Star Winner for Operation Recreation!
The WPRA Silver Star Award is recognition given to outstanding programs, events, or marketing efforts in the areas of recreation or aquatics. Winners of the WPRA Silver Star Awards are selected each year by a distinguished panel of recreation professionals who have expertise in the field of recreation service delivery. Entries are judged based on five criteria that are essential to having a successful recreation program: goals and objectives, participation, operational efficiency, creativity and innovation, and marketing.
Amanda was also recognized and selected as the Blue Block Champion in the Spring of 2020 for her work with Operation Recreation and incorporating the Big Blue Blocks into her events.
